Frederica Wilson 2015 video shows John Kelly got it wrong

Frederica Wilson 2015 video shows John Kelly got it wrong

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, criticizing Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, misrepresented a 2015 speech she made at the opening of a new FBI building, an exclusive South Florida Sun Sentinel video of her speech shows.
Kelly made the comments at the White House Thursday while discussing President Donald Trump’s conversations with the families of four soldiers killed in an Ambush in Niger earlier this month.
Kelly criticized Wilson for listening in on the conversation between Trump and the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson. Wilson was in a car with the widow and Johnson’s mother going to the airport for the arrival of Johnson’s body, and the call was placed on speakerphone.
Kelly then continued his criticism of Wilson, mentioning the 2015 dedication of the Miramar FBI building, saying she focused in her speech that she “got the money” for the building.
Wilson said Kelly’s comment was a fabrication, that she wasn’t even elected to Congress when the funding for the building was approved. A Sun Sentinel video of the event supports Wilson’s version of the events.
Wilson did take credit for securing approval of the naming of the building just days before the dedication for two slain FBI agents.

His early influences were Ahmad Jamal, George Shearing, and Oscar Peterson, leading to a lifelong admiration for Bill Evans as a trio pianist and Art Tatum as a solo pianist. In recent years he has focused on expanding opportunities to perform with his piano trio and his Good Vibes Quintet.

As a "jazz recording artist" Dick created Blue Koala Records in 1978 with the highly acclaimed solo piano LP, Sunday Morning at Washington Square. He has since produced over 25 recording projects, both as a soloist and in various combinations with vocalists and different groups of musicians.

His newest release, What Now?, is the product of two live appearances at the JB Piano Showroom in San Rafael. His previous trio cd's include Sail Away (Bill Moody on drums and Steve Webber on bass playing compositions by Tom Harrell), Jazzitalia (trio playing compostions by Italian musicians), Re:Person I Knew (a concert tribute to the Bill Evans trios), Art For Sale (the Dick Fregulia Trio playing mostly standards), and That's Amore (trio arrangements of 13 songs by Harry Warren).

The bullies who want a death

by Christopher England
I’ve just been watching a young girl become more and more suicidal. She was being bullied. When she asked people to stop bullying her, saying that it made her feel like killing herself, what did they do?
helpDid they back off and give her some space?
Of course not. They just chorused ‘Go on then’ and offered ‘Better off dead’, giving her methods she could use to kill herself, and so on and so on.
It was horrible, frightening, and disgusting.
But, you may well ask, what was, well, is, her crime?
Her crime is to be a young Conservative.
Yep, she dares to go against the group-think of the alt-left and Corbynistas that normally have the youth of today trained, brainwashed, and controlled in what to think. Only the strong dare try to rebut or refuse to be cowed by the indoctrination that fills our schools. The left control the agenda. School is no longer full of any encouragement to free-think. It is full of left-wing ‘teachers’ who shut down those children who resist the group-think. And it gets far worse when a child gets to university.
Naively, this young girl had declared herself via Twitter to not be a Corbynista or any of the modern day socialists kids are supposed to turn out as. At some point, she had also declared a past that included suicidal thoughts. So, yes, the baiting started from the alt-left. As soon as she, again, possibly naively, said she was being worn down and returning to suicidal thoughts, their vitriol just got stronger.
It is a bizarre situation that we have here. Conservatives do not wear scarves over their faces or hide behind keyboards trying to hound people to death. Labour supporters, however, see this as acceptable behaviour. Why is this?
Yeah, from time to time Corbyn will limply condemn these activities, but on they continue, in his name. Nobody really tries to stop them. Is that because in the Corbyn future, the only acceptable thought will be socialist group-think?
How many young people will be hounded to death for not following the herd?

Toby or not Toby, that is the Carvery by Christopher England

New post on England's England

Toby or not Toby, that is the Carvery

by Christopher England
You’ve heard of ‘paying it forward’ right? That’s the simple act of doing something nice for somebody else, especially if they could really do with a little unexpected something to lift their spirits.
I believe we should ‘pay forward’. Especially so when it takes a very little effort, but makes a big difference to the recipient. It is also important not to brag about paying forward. There’s nothing worse than somebody saying, “Hey look at me and all I do for chariddy”.
Sick in my mouth!
Paying forward is a personal thing. It is not a bragging right. Okay?
Anyway...
I just discovered a brilliant paying forward device. It’s the Toby Carvery app.
tobyappYes, the Toby Carvery app. An app specifically for those eating in a Toby Carveryrestaurant/pub.
Using the Toby Carvery app, you can select any table and pay the bill. Yes, any table. Any bill. Plus you can specify the tip for the waiting staff.
If you are unaware of a Toby Carvery, it’s a place where nice people are out-numbered by fat people. Fat people with out of control screaming children.
The centrepiece of a Toby Carvery is a man with a tall white hat who cuts slithers of meat and puts them on a plate. Then it’s help yourself to the large selection of vegetables. It is important to overfill the plate with these so that items are being shed and trampled into the carpet at every opportunity on route back to the table.
Being cheap, yet fair quality, Toby Carveries attract scum. You know, benefit cheats who come to spend our money on a meal despite having no clue how to behave in public. Those. The ones who have pumped out children in order to get a house, but have no interest in parenting the child. Those. The fat people.
Toby Carveries also attract old folk wanting a cheap afternoon out. Their dining experience is usually spoiled by the scum and their screaming children running up and down between the tables.
So, back to paying forward using the Toby Carvery app.
Howzabout paying the bills of those customers stressed out by the scum infesting the place? That timid old couple with many years of love and devotion who can barely afford the meal as a special treat. Their ‘date’ has been ruined by the scum. They and all the other quiet and polite customers, poor things, get their bills paid. The scum being left out. Perfect.
Yeah, using the app to anonymously pay all their bill, give a huge tip to the waiting staff, and type in a message to him/her thanking them for tolerating the obviously rude and unwelcome hard to serve scum.
Now, that’s paying forward, that is.
