Henry Ford

Published on Aug 7, 2015

Henry Ford (July 30, 1863 – April 7, 1947) was an American industrialist. the founder of the Ford Motor Company, and sponsor of the development of the assembly line technique of mass production. Although Ford did not invent the automobile or the assembly line, he developed and manufactured the first automobile that many middle class Americans could afford.

In doing so, Ford converted the automobile from an expensive curiosity into a practical conveyance that would profoundly impact the landscape of the twentieth century. His introduction of the Model T automobile revolutionized transportation and American industry.

As owner of the Ford Motor Company, he became one of the richest and best-known people in the world. He is credited with "Fordism": mass production of inexpensive goods coupled with high wages for workers. Ford had a global vision, with consumerism as the key to peace.

His intense commitment to systematically lowering costs resulted in many technical and business innovations, including a franchise system that put dealerships throughout most of North America and in major cities on six continents. Ford left most of his vast wealth to the Ford Foundation and arranged for his family to control the company permanently.

Hi, I'm Dan Weintraub

Hi,

I'm Dan Weintraub, a singer-songwriter from Vermont whose catalog perhaps
best falls into the Americana, Alt-Folk and Alt-Country genres. While the
bulk of my work and can be found on my personal websites
(http://danweintraubmusic.com and http://danweintraubacoustic.com), I have
recently uploaded my three most recent albums as playlists on Soundcloud
(https://soundcloud.com/dan-weintraub-2/sets).

Here is what fans and reviewers are saying about my music:

“…Acoustic music at its best! This is where music came from. A guy or gal
on a guitar, honestly talking about his or her life. Get this guy’s music
in your collection now! I can’t wait until he comes to play in my home
town. (recent review)…”

“…Dan Weintraub is a songwriter extraordinaire. An absolute must for
acoustic music fans, it is the kind of sound and storytelling that fuse
just brilliantly, surrounding you like a wall of thought, a to-do list of
things to consider, if you will – a reflective and inspiring set of
somewhat unpredictable advice. His music has a certain magic about it that
is well worth letting into your life. (recent review)…”

“This is provocative [acoustic] music without the political baggage. It’s that
kind of electrifying intimacy that makes Dan’s music such an alluring
affair.” (recent review)

“There is a profound earnestness to Dan’s lyrics and vocal style. If I was
a person who cries, I probably would listening to some of Dan’s songs.”
(fan)

“There is a powerful vulnerability in Dan’s lyrics. They have soul and get
you in the gut – great poetry, great songs.” (fan)

I hope that you will, if time and schedule permit, check out my work - and
I do appreciate your time and kind attention to my music.

Warmly,

Dan
