Michael Cassidy was born July 10, 1961 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. He started singing at the early age of 5 in his local church. He developed his singing and playing in gospel bands formed by himself and his brother Kenny. Michael was saved at the age of 8. He started writing songs at about the age of 19. He has enjoyed at least 6 songs in the National gospel and Christian country charts with one song at #9. Many songs played #1 on various stations.
"My goal is to use my talent God has given me in songwriting, recording and performing to the best of my ability for now and into the future. Born and raised in Japan at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Kiana grew up in a bilingual, multi-cultural home, with her Japanese father, American mother, and two older siblings. Without any formal training or a background in musical theory, Kiana began composing on the piano when she was eleven, after a transformative experience swimming with wild dolphins on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.
During her teen years being home-schooled in the mountains of Japan, Kiana began creating lyrically-driven songs on her mother’s guitar. Her current discography includes 8 independently produced albums, 7 of which are all original~ ranging from pop/folk vocal and guitar stylings, to instrumental piano serenades of ambient soundscapes.
For the past 20 years, Kiana’s music has been used to aid in relaxation and healing~ in hospice care facilities, spiritual workshops, massage and wellness centers, and acupuncture and yoga sessions around the world.
Since moving to her mother’s homeland of Hawaii in 1999, Kiana has performed in various bands across 6 of the Hawaiian Islands, and has given concerts as a solo artist across Japan and California, as well as headlining 5 tours across Italy since 2010. Opening for acts ranging from J- pop bands to Italian rock stars to the Gipsy Kings~ Kiana remains versatile in her ability to reach a wide variety of audiences.
Kiana has donated her albums, live performance, and mentorship to the at-risk youth at Palama Settlement on Oahu for the past 7 years; she volunteers her counsel to abused and battered women; enjoys volunteering her musical therapy for nursing homes around Hawaii; and donates proceeds from her album sales to organizations that inspire her.
With a strong Japanese-Hawaiian connection, Kiana's hope is to be a representation of how culture, language, and spiritual differences can be powerfully bridged through the unifying nature of music. She aspires to inspire, empower, and ignite positive shifts in the lives of her listeners~ while being an example of purpose-driven passion through her art, music, and message.

JOSEPH CANNAVO RELEASES NEW SINGLE FOR DISTRIBUTION

Lance King
Growing up in a musical family, my musical roots run deep. My Dad, Ed King, was the lead vocalist and bass player for several Country bands that toured extensively throughout the United States and into Canada. Song writing has always been a passion for me and my father might argue that any talent I may have for it is genetically inherited from him.
“Tequila, Hot Texas Girls and Tailgates” was a fun song to write, wherein I used my creative imagination to pen a song totally devoted to summer fun, young carefree love and tequila.
My first experience with tequila was of the traditional shot glass, salt and lime variety but as the songs says, now I enjoy tequila best on the rocks.
As a happily married man, I’d be wise to use a little caution when talking about hot Texas girls, but needless to say they look pretty inviting clad in skin tight jeans, an accentuating tank top and a color co-ordinated Atwood cowboy hat.
While writing “Tequila, Hot Texas Girls and Tailgates” I was reminded of the Joe Diffie hit song “Pickup Man”. My favorite line in Joe’s song is “I met all my wives in traffic jams…”. I proudly own a ’96 GMC Sierra long box with over 150,000 miles on the clock that still looks and runs great; union built with pride in Flint Michigan. Will my 2013 import deliver that kind of service? Probably not.
Oh and by the way, the idea for “Tequila, Hot Texas Girls and Tailgates” came from my Wife and Daughters…thanks girls.
