Anjali, raised in New Delhi till the age of 10, draws on her extensive training in classical piano, Indian Hindustani classical vocal training, and occasional moonlighting as a jazz pianist to create emotional and haunting melodies. Learning piano through the British school of music since the age of 4, Anjali’s early musical foundation was later strengthened by the contrast of her Indian vocal training, enabling her to begin writing her own songs and communicating in a way words alone never can. 

 

After performing in venues throughout Chicago and Los Angeles, Anjali began a career as an engineer, which enabled her to embrace her greatest gift to date – motherhood. She recently seized the opportunity to create a full length album of songs inspired by her experiences as a wife and mother. Her songs are sonically captivating, blending rhythms and music from east and west. Her lyrics mirror the challenges, struggles and joys we all face in our lifetime, and combine with her powerful, angelic voice to yield a soulful and honest product.

Saryn Doucette is a songwriter living in Memphis, TN, where she works full time as a physician.  She focuses on songwriting and singing, composing her songs on the piano.  "Always" is her first full production recording project. 

SARYN DOUCETTE

My primary focus is on songwriting. I write the lyrics, melody, and chord progression and sing. I compose the music on the piano and am the proud owner of a Yamaha baby grand. 

I studied classical piano during my childhood and into college and studied classical cello and played first chair cello in my junior high orchestra. I studied ballet and performed as a junior company member in Ballet Austin, and was a full scholarship student at the highest level at the Boston Ballet, performed with the Boston Ballet as a student and performed as a soloist with Ballet New England and Granite State Ballet.

 I have completed 4 college credit songwriting courses at the Berklee College of Music online as well as 2 vocal classes, pop/rock piano, Music Theory and Production classes. I currently reside in Memphis, TN, where I work full time as a physician, specializing in Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology.

 Objective:  An ongoing dose of unique soul, hip-hop, pop, funk, rock, and alternative music. Swagu personifies gallant and innovative musicianship to revamp attention spans with more positive vibes through melodic arrangements. Trendy and timeless lyric combine to create synergy within a composition. 

History: The group Swagu was formed in Atlanta, GA made up of three musical talents. Greg Edmonds better known as STRANGER, Darron Price better known as DEEP, and Kingston Callaway better known as Medulla, grew up together and were influenced by a lot of the same music.

Anything from groups like Death, Cameo, Souls of Mischief, Talking Heads, Nina Simon, Systems Of A Downs and many more. Influenced by these organic sounds Stranger, Deep, and Medulla of Swagu started playing the electric guitar and incorporating live music with there many songs.

Working with producer Anthony Smith(Jo Kane) founder of Vizer Entertainment inside of Kolab Studio with one goal in mind, make music that has an immortal, positive, universal effect.

DEVON HOWARD

Straight out of Baltimore, Maryland, DEVON HOWARD is keeping it hot.  As a singer, songwriter and producer he is a triple threat which places him way ahead of the game.  DEVON is walking in the footsteps of some of the most recognized artists out today, who have all had an impact on his style.  Baby Face, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, El DeBarge, Usher and Ne-Yo, all triple threats in their own right, he is influenced by new artists as well as the old.  El DeBarge was the first male singer he related to vocally.  His smooth, sensual, passionate voice was something he wanted to emulate as a singer but, with his own style.  He is heavily influenced by Michael Jackson’s innovative style and creativity.

DEVON’s style is fresh, edgy, laid back and smooth.  He brings a flavor reminiscent of old school but, with a modern twist. He’s had a lifetime of practice.  DEVON has been writing songs since childhood.  Songwriting comes naturally to him.  Inspired by his late father, who was also a songwriter, he grew up listening to his father’s collection:  The Manhattans, The Stylistics, and The Commodores.  DEVON got his start in the music industry performing with various groups and eventually wrote and performed with a local group who recorded their debut CD on the RCA label. .  The group has appeared on many of the popular music shows including Soul Train, Apollo and BET.  SWV and Wendy Williams appeared in the group’s first video and Malcolm Jamal Warner directed the second.  Devon also worked with industry vets Ron Fair (Keyshia Cole) and Vincent Herbert (Lady Gaga, Toni Braxton) on the group’s debut CD.  That group later dissolved and Devon went on to record and release music in Europe and Japan.

Devon has already gained the attention of some key people in the industry.   One of those people is none other than Chris Robinson, one of the most sought after music video directors in the industry, who directed Devon’s first music video.  The single “Other Side of the Bed” has received radio play in 16 markets across the country and on Music Choice and Sirius Satellite.  The video played in regular rotation on VH1 Soul and other video outlets nationwide. His new CD entitled ‘Return To Love’ is slated for a May 2015 release.

DEVON HOWARD is not just a nice guy with a sexy voice.  He is the winner of the Heinekin / ASCAP Initiative for Songwriting. Amidst his hectic schedule and all of his accomplishments DEVON HOWARD finds time to give back.  He has been an advocate for foster children at Second Home Inc., for well over ten years.  And, recently put together a compilation CD featuring national and local recording artists to raise money for his newest endeavor, opening a day shelter for homeless youth and young adults.  He has performed for and given donations to various charitable organizations including the Red Cross and America’s Harvest. 

DEVON HOWARD is definitely one to keep your eye on.  He is Baltimore’s best kept secret and soon the world will be introduced to this class act.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

 

Explosively expatriated from the farmlands of Ohio, singer-songwriter Doli Stepniewski breathes mischievous spirit into creative alter ego, DareDevilDale. Known for effusive hooks and anthemic power-pop melodies, he creates vivid tales of love and catastrophe... fit for the pages of a graphic novel. Each song pulls equally from Stepniewski’s own experiences as both an accomplished touring musician (Owsley, Amy Grant, Under The Big Top) and a successful tech entrepreneur. The result is an accessible yet divergent sound delivered with a wink and nod to musical superheroes Stewart Copeland, Gordon Sumner, Andy Summers, Stuart Adamson and John Taylor.

 

When not criss-crossing the boundaries of the American soundscape as DareDevilDale, Stepniewski is an animator and rock & roll developer in Nashville, Tennessee where he lives with his wife and three sons.
